This kurti is made from tussar, a lightweight silk fabric woven from Indian silkworms. It is covered with hand embroidery called kantha, an embellishment that originates from Bengal. The kurti has long sleeves with slits and tiny buttons partway down the front. The front of the kurti and the sleeves are decorated with xari embroidered silk. In this design, we have given the kurti side slits and a rounded neck. Tussar
