This
glittering diamond jewelry set recalls the glamour of the princesses during the
Mughal era. In those days, diamonds were valued for their size above all. This
set is made in true Mughal fashion: it has large un-faceted diamonds called "polkis",
which are set in 22 karat gold. Mughal royalty believed that anything
which touched the wearer's skin should be as beautiful as the viewer, and this
set is no exception. The reverse is delicately worked with red and green meenkari
(enamel-work) flowers on a white background. Diamond
